2. Personal & Project Data We Collect

A. Identity Data: Name, email address, and profile picture (via Google Auth).

B. Project Data: This includes structural inputs, calculation results, job numbers, and client names that you save to your project dashboard. We treat this data as highly confidential.

C. Billing Data: Managed via Stripe; we do not store credit card numbers on our servers.

3. Service Providers (Data Sub-Processors)

To provide a reliable cloud-based engineering environment, we share specific data with the following trusted sub-processors:

Google Firebase / Google Cloud Platform: For secure authentication, database hosting (Firestore), and cloud storage. Data is stored in high-security Google data centers.
Stripe: For secure payment processing and subscription management.
Postmark/SendGrid: For sending essential calculation reports and system alerts.

4. International Data Transfers

As we utilize Google Firebase, your data may be processed in data centers located outside the EEA. We ensure that such transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or other valid transfer mechanisms approved by the European Commission.

5. Professional Data Security

Recognizing the sensitivity of structural engineering data, we implement:

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA): Available for all professional accounts to prevent unauthorized project access.
Encryption: Data is encrypted both in transit (SSL/TLS) and at rest within our Firestore databases.
Row-Level Security: Our database rules ensure that project data is only accessible to the authenticated user who created it.

6. Data Retention & The "Right to be Forgotten"

We retain your structural projects for as long as your account is active. If you choose to delete a calculation or your entire account, we will remove that data from our active databases immediately. Residual backups may persist for up to 30 days before permanent purging.

7. Your GDPR Rights

You have the right to access, rectify, or export your calculation data at any time. To exercise your right to data portability (e.g., requesting a JSON export of all your saved beams), please contact our support email.

8. Cookies & Tracking

We use "strictly necessary" cookies to keep you logged into your engineering session. We do not use third-party advertising trackers that sell your professional behavior to external agencies.
